There are five main kinds of models :

• F1 - Free Flight (No connection between the model and pilot in the flight time).
• F1A - Gliders (international).
• F1B - Rubber Engine (international).
• F1C - Piston Engine (international).
• F1D - Indoor.
• F1E - Automatic flight.
• F1F - Helicopters.
• F1G - Rubber Engine (beginners).
• F1H - Gliders (beginners).
• F1J - Piston Engine (beginners).

• F2 - Cable Controlled (The model flies around the pilot in circles - the only connection is two cables that control the elevator).
• F2A - Speed.
• F2B - Aerobatics.
• F2C - Team race.
• F2D - Fight.

• F3 - Radio Controlled (The pilot controls the model from ground just by radio).
• F3A - Motorized aerobatics.
• F3B - Speed,Time and Distance gliders.
• F3C - Helicopters.
